Autumn School Holiday Workshops 2024
Classes have been designed for school aged children 6-17 years. Some activities will be adapted to be more or less challenging according to age and skill level. We endeavour to foster a fun environment where children can learn a new skill and explore their creativity through a variety of mediums to produce a handmade project they can be proud of.
Parents are very welcome to stay and watch, or to drop off and pick up later, whatever suits you.
All classes are run at our beautiful studio space at 738 Hunter Street, Newcastle West.
Wire Sculpture Workshop - Pipe cleaner Dragons — $33
Friday, April 19 - 9:00am to 11:00am
Learn the art of wire sculpture by making these cute furry dragons. Wire sculpture artist, Samuel Troyer, has designed these fun pipe cleaner dragons and will be sharing some basic techniques of wire sculpting while giving step-by-step instructions to make some of these little characters in his 2hr workshop.
Decorate a Plant Pot for Mother's Day Charity — FREE - ALL AGES
Monday, April 22 - 9:00am to 3:00pm
This is a free event we are running to create appreciation gifts for local charity - Soul Hub. There are over 250 volunteers that donate their time to provide free meals and other services to Newcastle's homeless and vulnerable. We are wanting to gift each of the Mums that volunteer there a beautiful and unique hand painted pot with plant for Mothers Day as our way of saying thank you for all they do. You are welcome to take home a pot you've painted by paying $10 to cover the materials.
Paint and decorate a bear — $50
Wednesday, April 24 - 9:00am to 12:00pm
Paint and decorate a calico bear. This activity can be adjusted to suit any skill level. Students will paint a calico bear to take home in as much or as little detail as they wish. Equally suitable for the perfectionist child who likes to paint with intricate detail; or the child who prefers to get the paint on quickly and move on to decorating with our selection of decorative items. 3hr workshop.
Our Swifty Era Friendship Bracelets — $33
Wednesday, April 24 - 12:30pm to 2:30pm
Calling all Tay Tay lovers! Come and spend an Enchanted afternoon building friendship bracelets and celebrating the release of Taylor Swift's brand new album. We will listen to 2 hours of Swifty music while getting crafty and creative surrounded by beautiful beads.
